ESPN has acquired multi-platform broadcast rights to all 380 Premier League games in Brazil, until the end of the 2021/22 season. Following a sub-licensing agreement with DAZN, ESPN will air 8 live matches each week on its core linear TV channels, as well as its streaming service WatchESPN. Highlights of all EPL games will also be available, and subscribers will be able to watch the games on demand.
Disney has acquired exclusive broadcast rights for the 2021 Copa América tournament in Brazil. ESPN Sports Brasil will share coverage of the competition with Fox Sports Brasil, with both channels combining to show all 28 matches. Viewers will also be able to follow the competition online on ESPN’s website and live-stream matches via the ESPN App.
ESPN Brasil acquired the multi-platform broadcasting rights in Brazil for the Spanish La Liga up until the 2019-2020 season. The deal allows ESPN Brazil to show all La Liga matches for a total of 380 La Liga matches each season. The package also includes a video highlights package as well as La Liga magazine shows. ESPN Brasil will distribute the La Liga coverage across its network on ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Brasil TV channels as well as on the digital platforms WatchESPN and its website. The deal also includes 231 live Liga Adelante matches each season as well.
