BeIN Sports has extended its French Ligue 1 rights in the United States till the end of the 2023/24 season. The deal allows the pay-TV broadcaster to air Ligue 1 matches live, as full replays or as edited highlights, on both its English- and Spanish-language television networks (beIN Sports English and beIN Sports en Español). Though the TV channels are expected to telecast matches from the league’s biggest teams, such as PSG, premium video streaming platform beIN Sports Connect will be responsible for live streaming most of the matches online and on its apps.
Both beIN SPORTS USA and beIN SPORTS en Español cover the games in English and Spanish respectively on television, as live, delayed or repeat broadcasts. Streaming service beIN Sports Connect streams all 380 Liga matches live and on demand, on computers, tablets and smartphones. Original programming, such as studio shows, match previews and analysis, are used to complement coverage of the games. Though beIN Sports had previously held the league’s rights until the end of the 2023/24 season following an extension deal, La Liga bought back its media rights for USA to enable ESPN’s buyout deal to go through. This eventually terminated beIN Sports’ run as La Liga broadcasters in USA in 2021.
Pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports has acquired the rights to the UEFA Women’s Champions League and will be airing matches involving French club PSG, in USA.
beIN SPORTS has the exclusive English-language broadcast rights in the USA. Matches are shown on beiN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS en Español, as well as on its beIN CONNECT digital platform.
The Copa del Rey will be available on beIN SPORTS, beIN SPORTS en Español and beIN SPORTS CONNECT in USA. The boadcast rights for the final will be on ESPN.
