Sky Mexico has extended its deal with the DFL for the rights to the Bundesliga 2. The pay-TV broadcaster’s four-year deal includes every match of Germany’s secondary football tier. It also lets subscribers access the matches in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.
Pay-TV broadcaster Sky Mexico has secured the broadcast rights to the German Bundesliga in a four-year extension deal from 2022/23 until 2025/26. Sky Mexico gets multi-platform rights to every Bundesliga match every season. The agreement between Sky Mexico and the DFL also covers other Spanish-speaking territories in Central America, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.
Pay-television provider Sky México has secured Mexican rights to the 2022 World Cup. Sky subscribers may watch the entire tournament on the satellite platform live in 4K quality, while benefiting from advanced features such as multi-camera coverage. Sky’s world cup programming is set to include match highlights and other exclusive content.
Sky Mexico has acquired pay-television broadcast rights to the German Bundesliga in Mexico and Central America. The deal agreed with Bundesliga International will see Sky Mexico exclusively air three Bundesliga matches every week, along with other matches on a non-exclusive basis. Relegation and promotion playoffs will additionally feature on the network. As part of its extensive coverage, Sky Mexico has decided to introduce a channel dedicated to the German Bundesliga, which will be responsible for auxiliary programming and highlights.
